Mit dem Ghibli bietet Maserati seit 2013 erstmals nach etwa 20 Jahren wieder eine sportliche Alternative zu den etablierten Premium-Limousinen unterhalb des großen Quattroporte. Bei JMS Fahrzeugteile finden Ghibli-Fahrer nun eine Möglichkeit, das Design und die Aerodynamik des Viertürers zu schärfen: mit Anbauteilen von G&S-Fahrzeugtechnik.

Während der Kauf bei JMS im Inland eine (empfehlenswerte) von mehreren Möglichkeiten ist, die G&S-Teile zu erwerben, haben die Walddorfhäslacher im Jahr 2016 den Auslands-Generalvertrieb übernommen. Die Komponenten werden wahlweise aus grundiertem GFK oder aus hochwertigem Carbon produziert. An der Front des Ghiblis sorgen der G&S-Frontlippenansatz (GFK: 821,10 Euro, Carbon: 1.178,10 Euro) sowie ein Frontschachteinsatz (GFK: 297,50 Euro, Carbon: 464,10 Euro) für eine nochmals verschärfte Optik. Selbige Aufgabe übernehmen am Heck der G&S-Heckdiffusor (GFK: 1.178,10 Euro, Carbon: 2.011,10 Euro) und ein G&S-Heckflügel (GFK: 464,10 Euro, Carbon: 773,50 Euro). Ein Satz G&S-Seitenschweller zum Preis von 1.059,10 Euro (GFK) oder 1.892,10 Euro (Carbon) und ebenfalls aus Carbon gefertigte Spiegelkappen (583,10 Euro) runden den G&S-Bodykit für den Maserati Ghibli ab. Alle Komponenten verfügen über ein Teilgutachten und werden auf den entsprechenden Serienteilen montiert, wofür das benötigte Montagematerial mitgeliefert wird.

Passend zum sportlicheren Auftritt verbaute JMS am abgebildeten Ghibli zudem einen neuen Radsatz, wobei auf den Fotos zwei verschiedene Varianten zu sehen sind: Einerseits die Cor.Speed Challenge-Felge mit mattschwarzem Puresports-Finish und andererseits – in der Heckansicht – die dreiteilige OZ Botticelli-Felge, jeweils in den Formaten 9×21 Zoll sowie 10,5×21 Zoll mit Bereifung in 245/35R21 und 285/30R21.

Die Komplettrad-Preise betragen 3.900 Euro (Cor.Speed-Rad). Zur Ergänzung der Tieferlegung um fünf Zentimeter an der Vorder- und vier Zentimeter an der Hinterachse ist abschließend ein KW-Gewindefahrwerk (2.069 Euro) an Bord.

Leveraging the Ghibli’s relatively small volume and exclusivity, JMS Fahrzeugteile now offers an aerodynamic body kit from G&S Fahrzeugtechnik, alloy wheels and uprated suspension to personalise this stylish Italian high performance saloon. JMS took over the general distribution of G&S on foreign markets in 2016.

Conscious of different customer budgets, the G&S components are offered in either pre-primed GRP or high-quality carbon-fibre. The Ghibli styling kit starts with a front spoiler lip (GRP: 821.10 euro, carbon-fibre: 1,178.10 euro) and front air intake fillet inserts (GRP: 297.50 euro, carbon-fibre: 464.10 euro) for a sharper head-on image.

The sculpted side-skirts (GRP: 1,059.10 euro, carbon-fibre: 1,892.10 euro) visually connect these front additions to the rear where the G&S bootlid spoiler (GRP: 464.10 euro, carbon-fibre: 773.50 euro) and underbody diffuser (GRP: 1,178.10 euro, carbon-fibre: 2,011.10 euro) clean up the departing airflow for reduced drag and improved stability at speed. Carbon-fibre door mirror caps (583.10 euro) add the finishing touch. All G&S components come with certification, and are mounted directly to the OE factory parts, with the supplied adhesives and fixing hardware.

To further enhance the Ghibli’s more sporting appearance, JMS chose an alloy wheel designs for their demonstrator. This is the one-piece Cor.Speed Challenge alloy wheel in matt black Puresports finish. They come in 9.0×21-inch and 10.5×21-inch sizes, shod with 245/35ZR21 and 285/30ZR21 tyres.

To make full use of the larger tyre contact patches, improve handling and the cars visual stance on the road, a fully adjustable KW coilover (2,069 euro) suspension kit lowers the ride height by 50 mm in front, and 40 mm at the rear.
